The Mokaihaha Kōkako Trust was established in March 2017.

Our mission is to ensure that Mokaihaha’s ecosystem thrives and community wellbeing is strengthened.

Our team is a diverse group of community and Iwi / Hapū members who are passionate about kaitiakitanga and conservation from around the South Waikato, Mamaku and Rotorua areas. 

We undertake a series of activities to ensure the health of the Mokaihaha Ecological Area for generations to come, including:

• Pest Control

• Species ID Training

• Species Monitoring

• Operations training

• Community outreach and engagement
