Kaimai Ridgeway

An association of volunteers working together to keep the Kaimai Ranges a safer and better place for you.

PURPOSE

Kaimai Ridgeway Trust (KRT) is an association of members in the recreation community who are passionate about encouraging the recreational activities in the Kaimai Ranges.

KRT was formed in 2015 when it was clear that the Kaimai backcountry tracks and huts needed greater maintenance than the Department of Conservation (DOC) had resources and budget for. KRT now works with DOC to improve and maintain the Kaimai tracks and huts.
